Monza has a waste sorting system with 5 different categories.
Please pay attention to proper separation to avoid fines.

​1. Plastic and metal: YELLOW transparent bag
YES Plastic bottles, bottles/containers, cans, metal jars, plastic trays, films, bags

NO Toys, hard plastic cutlery, rubber objects, containers dirty with food or paint

 

2. Organic waste: GREEN BIODEGRADABLE bag

YES Kitchen scraps (leftover food, fruit/vegs, small bones, fish bones, coffee/tea grounds,napkins soiled with food).
NO plastic, metals, glass, diapers, cigarette butts

 

3. Residual waste (non-recyclable): RED bag

YES Kitchen scraps (leftover food, fruit, vegetables, small bones coffee grounds, tea bags, napkins soiled with food).
NO plastic, metals, glass, diapers, cigarette butts

4. Paper and cardboard: collect separately, no bag provided

Use the WHITE condominium bin in the inner garden, on the ground floor.

YES newspapers, magazines, folded cardboard boxes, paper bags, pasta/rice packaging, cardboards, notebooks.

NO food-stained paper, baking paper, receipts, used tissues.​

 

5. Glass: collect separately, no bag provided.

Use the GREEN condominium bin in the inner garden, on the ground floor.

YES bottles, jars, glass containers (even with small residues).

NO ceramics, porcelain, crystal glasses, mirrors, light bulbs.
